Brenley Farm House

Breakfast award

Accommodation Details

Join us in the elegant Georgian, family farmhouse on our working farm. Still very much a traditional Kent farm growing hops, apples, pears and cereal crops. Although peacefully situated amidst the orchards and paddocks, we have easy access to the many attractions the area has to offer. Whether you come for a short break to take life at a more leisurely pace, or a longer stay to explore the delights of Kent, we have something for everyone.

The mediaeval town of Faversham and the historic cathedral city of Canterbury jostle with the quaint seaside town of Whitstable and beaches of Margate and Joss Bay. With castles and gardens, zoo parks and bird watching, shopping or supping the local beer from the Shepherd Neame Brewery in Faversham, you can do everything - or nothing. Just relax in the garden or take an easy stroll around the farm, woods or nearby shoreline, or why not play a round of golf at Boughton Golf Club (Pay and Play) which is only a mile away.
Our breakfasts are the subject of many comments in the visitor’s book and I am delighted to have received a Breakfast Award from Visit Britain. As we use home grown and local seasonal produce the menu changes frequently, although always keeping the old favourites. It's such a simple pleasure to take time for a proper breakfast to set you up for the day.

With a resident vegetarian, that option is never a problem and other diets can be catered for if you give me advance notice. A good fruit harvest has had me filling the freezers with winter compotes and we are pressing our own apple juice for the first time.

Woody, our re-homed Golden Labrador has settled in well and is a great hit with the guests as he is a very sociable dog – and with extremely good manners for a lab! Fortunately he gets on well with the cats Ruff and Tumble and knows his place with them.

Walking is a simple pleasure at this time of the year. Whether scuffling through the crisp, dry leaves in Perry Woods or taking a frosty stroll along the shoreline, especially when you can find a welcome pub with a warm fire and good food.

The good things of life remain the same with light, spacious, comfortable rooms well equipped with fluffy towels and bathrobes, luxury toiletries and an extensive hostess tray and all the little extras you will appreciate in our country home. If you really can’t leave the laptop behind or are traveling on business we have WiFi broadband for your convenience.
