Bed and Breakfast B&B Burnville Farm is a substantial Georgian house stunningly situated with magnificent views over Dartmoor from all the guest rooms and a l arge comfortable drawing room. In the comfort of your luxurious ensuite bedroom, complete with queen size bed and antique furniture. Large Georgian windows offer breathtaking views of the garden and rolling countryside. Read a good book; lounging in the garden or in the cooler months in front of a roaring log fire in the drawing room. 	Exmoor Zoo      View website Exmoor Zoo is unique and an unusual zoo to visit! Opened in 1982 the zoo is now an ideal family venue, especially for the younger generation. Changes keep taking place, even a visit last year, will today see new exhibits and animals! The zoo has always specialised in smaller animals in the past, providing “natural” living spaces for many creatures no longer seen in the city zoos. The careful planting of shrubs and trees as they have matured, will keep you wondering what is next, providing a very relaxing and natural atmosphere! Today new exhibits exist for larger animals such as cheetah, blackbuck, maned wolves, sitatunga and of course the "Exmoor beast" !"

	Exeter Cathedral      View website Founded in 1050, it was established to provide support for the Bishop of Exeter in his ministry and mission across Devon, and to be a community of prayer, and christian worship. It is the symbolic focus of the Bishop's centeredness in the life of the Diocese, and the home of his ‘cathedra' (his seat or throne). All involved in its life seek to reflect the love of God revealed in the eternal community of the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Cathedral building, dedicated to Peter, one of Jesus' earliest followers and the model for all subsequent bishops, is the finest example of Decorated Gothic architecture in any Cathedral. The building itself proclaims something of the beauty and holiness of God. To see it on a day when the sun streams through its windows is breathtaking.
	Powderham Castle      View website A visit to Powderham Castle is an enchanting day out for all its visitors. Fascinating guided tours of this magnificent 600year old Castle – one of the oldest family houses in England and home to the 18th Earl of Devon - reveals secret doors, stunning castle rooms, amazing architecture and intriguing stories that really bring the history to life. Not forgetting the recently restored Victorian Kitchen where you can visualise what life would have been like in domestic service.
	Dartmouth Castle One of the most picturesquely- sited fortresses in England. For over six hundred years Dartmouth Castle has guarded the narrow entrance to the Dart Estuary and the busy, vibrant port of Dartmouth. This fascinating complex of defences was begun in 1388 by John Hawley, privateering mayor of Dartmouth and the prototype of the flamboyant 'Shipman' in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. About a century later the townsmen added the imposing and well- preserved 'gun tower', probably the very first fortification in Britain purpose-built to mount 'ship-sinking' heavy cannon. Climb to the top for breathtaking views across the estuary and see how it could be blocked in wartime by a heavy chain. Unusually incorporating the fine church of St Petrox, the castle saw action during the Civil War, and continued in service right up until World War II. Successive up-dating included the Victorian 'Old Battery' with its remounted heavy guns, guardrooms and maze of passages to explore. Here a dramatic film-sequence recreates a Victorian gun-firing, and throughout the fortress displays retell the six centuries of castle history.
