Welcome to the Dysynni Valley! I would like to tell you about a farmhouse which sits at the foothills of Cader Idris. In the village of Llanfihangel-y-Pennant. A working hill farm with mostly sheep and cattle in the summer. This place has a rugged feel and makes you want to explore more of its surrounding hills and valleys. A valley which is rich in history, as you will find out as you read more.

If you want to get away from it all, then Nantcaw is the place to come. It's peacfull, relaxing, no traffic anywhere near. Listen to the chatter between our wooly friends and of course the Welsh Black cows, which have roamed these hills for years. Birds sing early morning, children can explore and spot the wildlife, play in the stream and be totally safe.

Wake up to unspoilt and breathtaking views, go for long walks, there are many to choose from, with Cader Idris on your doorstep. Down the valley is Bird Rock, famous for its nesting Cormorants, amazing views of our local farms and their owners hard grafting, looking after these fantastic landscapes.

With the seaside in the distance, Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) seven miles and Tywyn five miles, both seaside towns, it really is the place where the mountains meet the sea!
