Poulton Grange is a brand new purpose built family farm house for the 21st Century. It is situated on the Marlborough Downs within an area of outstanding natural beauty. We opened for luxury farmhouse B & B on 1st September 2008 and look forward to welcoming many more visitors and friends through the doors! We have been accredited with a 5* rating with a Gold award for hospitality :-)

You can reach us at 01672 516888. We are looking forward to hearing from you. You can also contact us at our e-mail address: sheppard@poultongrange.com We confess to a 'conversational' level of French and Italian and welcome visitors from overseas.

Please let us know what your needs and questions are, we will be more than happy to help. Check out Trip Advisor for recent guest comments at http://www.tripadvisor .co.uk

We currently have 2 spacious guest rooms with stunning views. Both with really comfortable beds - king sized and super king sized double that can also be a twin. Both bedrooms have light and airy en-suite facilities. Full English breakfast with local produce cooked on the Aga is available.

Now available is our 3 bedroomed Finnish log cabin for holiday lets and short stays. Self catering or serviced according to your requirements. Visit www.poultonlodge.com to find out more.

Poulton Grange has its own water supply from an aquifer laying 150' below the chalk downland and is also heated by a geo thermal heat source installed in 2008 when the house was built. Although a spacious farmhouse it has a carbon neutral footprint and is tremendously snug in winter and airy in summer.

Westbury White Horse

This horse is located on the steep western slope of westbury Hill, below the Iron Age hill-fort of Bratton Camp. The first Westbury white horse is believed to have been cut to commemorate the victory over the Danes in the Battle of Ethandun (possibly nearby Edington) in 878AD. Local legend says that King Alfred commissioned the cutting of the horse, but had the designer beheaded soon after completion as the horse was said to be riding out of town, and should have been riding into town.
