Rhos Country Cottages are situated 4½ miles inland from the 'castle crowned' town of Criccieth, with its two beaches divided by the headland, on which sits the 700 year old castle. Criccieth best known as "The Pearl of Wales on the Shores of Snowdonia" has won the prestigious, floral "WALES IN BLOOM Competition" for the last six years. Nearby is the village of Llanystumdwy, the boyhood village of David Lloyd George with a Museum and film on one of the greatest British statesmen of the twentieth century and the Victorian Cottage where he was raised.

Rhos Country Cottages are not barn conversions on one large complex, but are detached, individual and traditional, stone built Welsh farmhouses and country properties; each enjoying its very own idyllic grounds with very private secluded gardens (but not isolated) on our 200 acre of farmland which runs down to the River Dwyfach, where some double bank fishing can be done.

The cottages are quality graded, and have achieved 4 & 5 STARS by VISIT WALES. They are open all year and are always warm and inviting with Off Season Short Breaks available from November through to March.

The cottages offer "Olde Worlde Charm & Character", with old oak beams, ingle-nook fireplace with real log fires, antiques and lovely country furnishings. With ‘home from home’ comforts of 4 & 5 Star accommodation; some even have a Four Poster Bed, own Snooker Room, own Private Sauna, or own Jacuzzi Bath.

The cottages can sleep from 2 – 8; in TWO, THREE or FOUR BEDROOMED properties with Cots and High-chairs available on request. There are Elegant Victorian Beds and romantic bedrooms - ideal for honeymoon, anniversaries, birthdays and any special occasion.

The cottages are in a perfect, central location from which to explore North Wales, Snowdonia, The Cambrian/Cardigan Coastline and the lovely Lleyn Peninsula. Within 30 minutes drive are the Snowdon Mountain Railway and Footpaths, Beddgelert and the wonderful Aberglaslyn Pass, Portmeirion Village, Porthmadog with Ffestiniog Narrow Gauge Railway and Welsh Highland Railway, Slate Mines, Harlech and Caernarfon Castles and much more..
Walk straight from your cottage door onto the Lleyn Coastal Path or join onto one of the nearby, leafy cycle routes or cycle along the scenic, traffic-free Lôn Eifion cycle track to the Royal Town of Caernarfon. Each cottage has safe storage for bikes.....and much more. The cottages offer peace and tranquility, a place to chill out, relax, unwind and re-charge the batteries.

An art gallery has existed at this location since 1963, and the museum was relocated to the building from the University at Upper Bangor in 1974. It is a unique collection because it reflects the history of North Wales. The gallery has a variable and changing programme of arts and crafts by mainly professional artists, exhibiting for 6 to 8 weeks. These exhibits include local works, touring exhibitions (some with an overseas connection), and historical exhibitions in turn. The village is located in the community of Penrhyndeudraeth, on the estuary of the River Dwyryd, 2 miles south east of Porthmadog, and 1 mile from the railway station at Minffordd, which is served by both the narrow gauge Ffestiniog Railway and Arriva Trains Wales (Cambrian Line). Portmeirion has served as a location for films and television shows, most famously serving as the Village in The Prisoner.
