Little Owl Lodge is situated in Teesdale, and overlooks our Alpaca Farm and the surrounding Durham Dales countryside, the Lodge has been custom designed and offers luxury self-catering accommodation.

Little Owl Lodge is situated 6 miles from Barnard Castle, and is an ideal location for visiting the attractions of beautiful Teesdale, or neighbouring Weardale; we are approximately 40 minutes drive from Durham City.
The area is perfect for walking and cycling and is an excellent base to visit other parts of County Durham, or the neighbouring counties of North Yorkshire, Cumbria and Northumberland.

The area has many things to see and do - amazing countryside, waterfalls and wildlife, and a host of historic delights: Open Treasure is a new world-class exhibition route which has transformed public access to some of Durham Cathedral’s most spectacular spaces, including the fourteenth-century Monks’ Dormitory and the monastic Great Kitchen.

Ushaw, on the outskirts of Durham City is a fantastic hidden gem, originally a Catholic Seminary it is now a growing tourist attraction: an historic Georgian and Gothic Victorian main house, Pugin Chapels and an art gallery, the venue also hosts many concerts and cultural events throughout the year. Ever popular are the regular events held at Beamish Museum: The Living Museum of the North, and world class exhibitions at The Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle.
