Feed wheat prices have generally decreased over the last week, with UK feed wheat at £202.70 per tonne in the week ended 24th Nov. However, futures for wheat continues to show an upward movement as prices are underpinned by the tight supply and demand prospects this season. The first official estimates made by Defra of UK cereal supply and demand for 2012/13 were released this week show that the UK is likely to be a net importer of wheat this season due to the impact of last summer’s weather on yields and quality.
