SEPRA Market Report - 6th February 2015

The market appears to be hovering, demand has been much less than last week, shock effect of the credit card bills when consumers suddenly realise how much they spent at Christmas and that this month’s money has just disappeared down the electronic plug hole.
Central Egg have at last caught up on last week’s prices but note the difference between Colony and Free Range in small, all supplies are starting to get tight Free Range in particular and the shortage showing in Small will gradually move up the sizes, linked to the lack of pullets coming into lay.
Once things settle down prices should firm up? - but there are quite a lot of people hurting price wise right now we note Large from Ireland at 72p and there are cheaper.
Continental prices are firming and they are looking at Britain as a lost cause with stupid low prices.
