Agricultural machinery rings in merger talks

The directors of Eastern Agri-link Ltd and Norfolk & Waveney Machinery Ring (NWMR) have announced that they will be discussing merger proposals with their members.

The boards of each company say the merger would be of huge benefit to all concerned – that is almost 800 farmers throughout East Anglia.

Eastern Agri-Link and NWMR operate within Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire and help to reduce capital investments for there membership by sourcing machinery, labour and other services. Furthermore, members supplying these services can earn additional income.

By combining the machinery, labour resource and geographical spread, the merged group would be able to offer greater services, improved communication and reduced operating costs.

Initial consultation meetings with members begin on 22 April.
