Anglia Farmers to unveil new services at Cereals 2015

Agricultural purchasing co-operative Anglia Farmers will be unveiling a number of new developments at this year’s Cereals event on 10 and 11 June.

The group will unveil its new online ordering facility, which will allow members nationwide to place orders from their computer, tablet or mobile phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This new facility will make it even easier for members to place orders outside of usual office hours. It sits within the group’s online portal AFinteractive, which also allows members to view their account and invoicing details online.

Farmers will also be able to pick up a copy of AF’s first ever workshop consumables catalogue from the group’s stand – stand 919.

The catalogue highlights the huge range of workshop products available through AF, from screws and tools to generators, all with national delivery.

A number of other new business areas will also be on show at Cereals, including grant and funding application service GrantResource, marketing and promotion division PRomote and the AF Charge Card – a facility which allows AF members to buy online and in any store nationwide from any supplier, all charged to their AF account.

Chief executive Clarke Willis said: “Cereals is always a great place for us to meet farmers and show them the exciting new developments from AF. We know that farmers are experiencing significant cost pressures and we’ve seen an increase in the number of people wanting to join AF and start benefiting from the time and money savings which group purchasing can offer.

“We’re delighted to be launching these new developments at Cereals. We strive to deliver excellence in agricultural purchasing and both online ordering and the new workshop catalogue add to our offering to farmers across the UK.

“Farming is a 24/7 industry and it’s important that we help our members to run their businesses more easily. We know that they want flexibility and the ability to order items when they want them.”

Farmers will also be able to find out about Harby Agriculture’s Waste Amnesty on the AF stand, which is encouraging the recycling of used silage wrap, allowing farmers to clear up their farms before harvest and assist in compliance for inspections.

Farmers are being encouraged to team-up in local groups to gather their used silage wrap onto farm concrete pads where the waste will be collected free of charge. A small administration charge of £25 is being requested from farmers, 20% of this fee is going to farming charity, RABI. Enrol for the waste amnesty on the AF stand.
