BASF to offer agronomy advice at AGCO showcase

BASF will be running a series of agronomy seminars at the all-new, Discover AGCO event being held on the 26th to 27th February 2014 at the NEC in Birmingham.

“AGCO’s plans for the event show real vision and will offer visitors a really interesting mix of content,” says BASF’s Sarah Mountford-Smith. “We will be running one of the technical seminar programmes - all focused on managing agronomic challenges for this season and beyond.”

BASF’s seminars will be run on both days and will be delivered by BASF experts; the four topics are:

1) Disease control in cereals

2) Getting the most from your maize crop

3) Weed resistance management

4) The Clearfield production system


Other seminar programmes will include a series on CAP reform presented by Savills, Soil and Water resources seminar by Harper Adams and two further seminar streams on machinery costs and livestock. These seminars are being run to give visitors a really valuable farming event that is rich in new technology and new thinking: they will also offer BASIS and NRoSO accreditation points for registered scheme members. Growers, advisors, machinery dealers and agricultural press are invited to come along and enjoy an informative day out.
