Cereals 2015: What skills are needed for farms to thrive?

Visitors to the AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds stand at Cereals are invited to have their say on what skills will be needed for farms to thrive in the future.

By recording answers to three key questions in a dedicated video booth, growers and other members of the industry can help shape AHDB’s skills and training offer.

The recordings will feed into AHDB’s Skills Initiative, which aims to secure a professional and adaptable agricultural workforce for the future.

Tess Howe, Industry Skills Project Manager at AHDB: “We’re really keen to canvas views across the cereals sector about what skills and training will be needed in future, both to allow the industry to adapt and evolve to the challenges ahead and to ensure individuals working in the sector can make the most of the opportunities out there.

“Cereals is a great chance to meet people involved in the industry in so many different roles and at so many different levels of experience. I would encourage people to take part and help influence the future of the profession.”
