Ceredigion NFU Cymru on-farm milk meeting

Aled Jones, NFU Cymru Milk Board Chairman, will be guest speaker at the next Ceredigion NFU Cymru on-farm milk meeting on Thursday, 20 November, 2014.

The meeting will start at 11.00am and will be kindly hosted by kind permission of Des Jones and family, at Pantgwyn Farm, Synod Inn.

Pantgwyn is a 310 acre farm, part owned and part rented which is home to a herd of 230 milking cows. The farm is managed on a grazing based system and the Jones family has moved to a spring calving pattern in recent years. The meeting will commence with a short walk around the farm and will be followed by a presentation and discussion with Aled Jones on the current milk price situation and future outlook for the dairy sector.

Wyn Evans, Ceredigion NFU Cymru County Chairman said, “We are extremely grateful to Aled Jones for agreeing to come and speak at the meeting and thanks to Des Jones and family for hosting it. This meeting is open to all members so I encourage you all to come along to raise any questions or issues you may have.”
