Demijohn has won both the Food and the Drink Award for their Tayberry Vinegarand Toffee Whiskey Liqueur at the CLA Game Fair’s brand new competition, The Great British Flavour.

Held in association with Country Life, visitors judged a range of British food and drink produce supplied by exhibitors attending the CLA Game Fair.

Started in 2004, Demijohn sources unusual, delicious artisan liqueurs, spirits, oils and vinegars from around the UK and sells them in a wide range of re-useable glass bottles. Each bottle can have a free personalised message added.

Runners up include Pipers Kirkby Maltham Chorizo Crisps, Snowdon Hill Buffalo burgers and Inverawe Smoked Trout.

Chef Jose Sauto facilitated the competition along with fellow chef Rachel Green. Jose commented: “Both products scored highly in all areas and had stunning packaging that had our judges highly intrigued about the product that was contained within. Once opened, the aroma of each product was so outstanding and even to an onlooker who got a whiff of their full body could taste it in the air. These products showed true British innovation and quality that all the judges enjoyed. Overall the Great British Flavour was a fantastic success."

Next year, the CLA Game Fair will be held at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire from Friday 29 until Sunday 31 July.
