FSA reassures consumers about Irish beef
The Food Standards Agency recently issued a statement reassuring consumers about eating Irish beef following the Republic of Ireland’s withdrawal of beef from cattle exposed to feed contaminated with dioxins.
The Republic of Ireland has announced that beef from cattle that have eaten feed contaminated with dioxins is being withdrawn. Animals from affected herds and associated carcasses have been held on the relevant farms and at meat processing plant pending results from dioxin tests.
