A man in his 60s has died after falling into a silo at a farm in Devon.

Police, ambulance and fire crews were all called to the farm near Totnes on Monday, November 28.

A police spokesman said: "It appears that a man has fallen into a silo at a farm near Totnes. Emergency services attended and a man in his 60's was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The coroner has been informed and an investigation led by the Health and Safety Executive is underway."

Coroner's officer Andy Sleep confirmed that formal identification of the man was due to take place on Friday and an inquest into the death was likely to be open next week.
