Knight shows latest sprayers at Cereals 2015

New sprayers on Knight Farm Machinery’s stand at Cereals 2015 will include the latest addition to its self-propelled models with ultra-low emission levels and a 1600-litre-capacity mounted sprayer with vertical folding boom.

All Knight self-propelled sprayers are now available with Tier IV Final engines, which produce extremely low levels of emissions, the latest model at Cereals being an SP1840 with 4000-litre tank and 30-metre tri-fold boom. An SP2050 with 5000-litre tank and Tier IV engine will also be at the show. The Tier IV Final engines, which are superior to the interim Stage 3B/Tier4i units, have an advanced exhaust gas after-treatment system as well as running with Adblue diesel exhaust fluid.

Knight SP1800 series machines are now offered with 175hp engines as standard and 200hp and 225hp units as options, with either 3500 or 4000 litre tank and booms from 24 to 36 metres. The 2000 series comes with a 200hp engine as standard, a 225hp engine option, 4000 or 5000 litre tanks and booms up to 40 metres wide. One of the latest options on the SP sprayers is Category 4 cab filtration, which gives drivers extremely effective protection against hazardous vapours.

Also at Cereals will be the latest model in the company’s Xtra range of tractor-mounted sprayers with vertical-folding booms. This machine has a 28-metre boom and 1600-litre main tank, offering light-footed, compact performance alongside the existing 1300 and 1900 litre machines. The boom folds within the tractor width, the filling station is a simple, logical layout, and there are various control options. Main tanks can be supplemented by a specially designed 1500-litre front tank.

Also on Knight’s stand will be Trailblazer trailed machines, now fitted with larger flexible mudguards and available with a wide choice of sizes and specifications.
