Knight shows new combination Min-Till drill at Lamma 2008

Knight Farm Machinery's stand at LAMMA will feature the first minimum-tillage drill produced by the company under the partnership with the German manufacturer Rabe GmbH announced earlier this year. Knight will also have a C-type cultivator and the sophisticated Müller sprayer control system at the show.

Under the Knight/Rabe agreement Knight heavy-duty cultivation equipment is being sold in the UK alongside Rabe ploughs, cultivators and seed drills. The M-Drill at the show combines a Knight M-type cultivator and Rabe seed drill and is available in widths from three to five metres.

The cultivators are designed for use with medium-sized tractors and can be fitted with various combinations of tines and discs to suit different soil conditions. The drills have 2300 litre hoppers and a wide choice of packer rollers and other equipment. They can be de-mounted easily from the cultivator when required.

The latest addition to Knight's C-type range of cultivators is a rigid three-metre model, suitable for tractors below 175hp. The C-type machines, now available up to seven metres wide, are exceptionally versatile. Tool beams are bolted on, so they can be fitted or removed as required, and soil-working tools are also detachable, so they can be easily arranged in different combinations.

The Müller control system is standard equipment on Knight self-propelled sprayers and available on other models. It allows all sprayer functions to be controlled through a single computer terminal and multi-function joystick and can also provide automatic boom levelling, automatic nozzle switching and GPS mapping.
