Lincolnshire farmer wins Golden Spreader

Richard Larder of Keelby is the proud winner of Amazone's Golden ZA-M 2200 spreader. He was presented the unique spreader by Amazone's Product Manager, Simon Brown at Cereals 2008. Richard was randomly selected from over 1200 entries. The competition was launched earlier this year by Amazone to celebrate the ZA-M's 50th anniversary. "I was bowled over when I heard the news" commented Richard, "I've never won anything before and it was really timely; we already have an Amazone spreader that we've been really happy with but it's at the end of its service life and we were actually looking to replace it with a second-hand spreader. It's great to have a brand new quality spreader – especially such a rare and distinctive looking model".

Simon Brown comments, "We were very surprised by the interest in the Golden Spreader. Not only was it getting lots of farmers looking over it at the various exhibitions that it has appeared at, but there was a large number of entries to the competition. The ZA revolutionised spreading technology and Amazone's on-going development means that it's invaluable for many farmers and contractors that demand ever-more effective and accurate spreading. With rising fertiliser prices, more farmers are looking for spreaders that ensure every ounce of chemical is used optimally. More are looking at Precision Farming and products like Amazone's ZA-M that offer variable spreading rates and are compatible with GPS systems."
