Massey Ferguson has launched a new App which enables users to browse its full-line of farm machinery products and select, configure and price their perfect MF tractor.

The new MF Explore App, available for Apple tablet devices, provides comprehensive product information, technical features and benefits on the full range of MF equipment including tractors, combines, balers, materials handling equipment and hay & forage tools.

Users can browse model information such as brochures, specifications, images and videos, take a tour around the different features of the machines and find their local MF Dealer.

For customers looking for a mid-range to high horsepower tractor, the new configurator function enables them to build their individual machine.

Having chosen the ideal horsepower and transmission, selection of the ‘Build this Model’ button starts a detailed ‘Do It Yourself’ customising process.

Users are able to pinpoint their choice of tractor package and then select from a huge range of options and accessories.

This covers features such as linkage, tyres, seats and audio equipment plus available options from Fuse Technologies including telemetry-based machine management systems and in-cab digital displays.

With all the desired boxes ticked, users then save their exact product specification to the ‘My Garage’ basket which creates the full list of details, together with an order code and guide price.

This can be emailed to the local Massey Ferguson Dealer, shared with others or printed-off for further consideration and discussions with the MF salesman.

"MF Explore is extremely easy and intuitive to use and gives customers direct access to some of the key tools used by Massey Ferguson dealers and sales people to prepare machine specifications and quotations," says James Walton, Manager, Digital Marketing & Creative Services, Massey Ferguson Europe/Africa/Middle East.

"Once the App is downloaded onto an Apple tablet, the vast majority of its functionality operates off-line and so it is possible to use it anytime, anywhere – no matter how rural or remote the location."

MF Explore is available to download free from the App Store. The configurator function currently covers Massey Ferguson tractors from 85 to 400 hp.

In the coming months, this function is set to be extended to more machines including the full tractor line-up, combines, balers and telehandlers.

Initially, the App will be available in the UK, France and Germany, and rolled out to other countries in Europe over the remainder of this year.
