Monmouthshire on farm milk crisis meeting

Rob Harrison, Chairman of the NFU Dairy Board will be guest speaker at Monmouthshire NFU Cymru on farm meeting on Wednesday, 4 February, 2015.

The meeting will start at 12 noon with soup and a roll, and will be kindly hosted by kind permission of Roger and Russell Morgan and family, at Graig Olway Farm, Usk, who have recently installed robot milkers and scrapers.

Guest speaker, Rob Harrison, was elected as Chairman of the National Dairy Board in March 2014, after serving as vice chairman for two years. He farms 430 acres, milking approximately 220 Friesian cross Red and White cows, in North Gloucestershire, in partnership with his wife Emma and their three young children. As a passionate ambassador for British dairy farming, Rob is keen to promote the interests of NFU members in a growing market as well as dealing with pressing issues across the sector.
