NFU shows support to Young Farmers Club

NFU Cymru has shown its support to the YFC by providing travelling expenses to Aberedw YFC, who are to represent Wales with their winning Pantomime ‘The Magic Bone’, at the NFYFC final, in Torquay, this weekend.

Stuart Morris, Brecon and Radnor NFU Cymru Chairman explained why helping young farmers is so important to NFU Cymru, and was delighted that Brecon and Radnor NFU Cymru county branch members decided to show their support by donating £100 to the club.

Stuart Morris said, “The activities of the YFC are essential to rural life and the farming industry in Wales and NFU Cymru is delighted to be able to support Aberedw on their impending trip to Torquay. We wish them the best of luck in representing Wales at the finals, and I firmly believe that the experiences gained from this competition will stand them all in good stead and everyone who steps onto that stage will gain in confidence which will remain with them for the rest of their lives.”

On accepting the cheque Adam Lewis from Aberedw YFC said, “Our partnership with NFU Cymru is invaluable in allowing our members the opportunity to participate in this competition that will contribute to their ongoing personal development. The sponsorship has meant that many young farmers will have the opportunity to take part in a national event, so on behalf of our members I would like to thank NFU Cymru for their generous donation.”
