New Holland continues it's proud history of product innovation with the introduction of the TVT Series. This sophisticated tractor is equipped with the new Auto CommandTM continuously variable transmission, designed to maximise productivity and be easy to use.
Taking its styling from the Series TS-A and marrying spacious, comfortable cabs and powerful, efficient engines with a flexible transmission and advanced hydraulics, this is a tractor that shows just how easily high productivity can be achieved.
The TVT has been designed to be straightforward to operate. The AutoControllerTM joystick is built into the adjustable right armrest and can be mastered in minutes to give total control over travel speed, rear hitch, remote valves and Headland Turn Sequencing. There are no complex operating menus to scroll through and everything is designed with the operator in mind.
Driving the TVT is easy; simply select your direction of travel using the AutoControllerTM shuttle and press either the speed increase button on the AutoControllerTM key pad or the accelerator pedal. Never has seamless access to operating speeds from standstill to maximum been so straightforward. You decide how fast you want to go and the Auto CommandTM transmission does the rest, selecting the optimum engine speed and gear ratio to maintain the chosen travel speed irrespective of the terrain.
With creeper gears and a powershuttle for smoothly changing the direction of travel under power, the Auto CommandTM transmission gives the operator the choice of three speed ranges (0-max, 0-25kph and 0-14kph) and three driving modes (Drive mode, PTO mode and Manual mode).
Whatever work you are doing, the TVT Series is optimised for performance and efficiency. On the road, it will automatically switch to Drive mode and will adjust the gear ratios and engine speed to minimise fuel consumption. Indeed the TVT Series can achieve 40kph at just 1510rpm, while 50kph is available at 1890rpm. In the field, when it is PTO speed that is most important, PTO mode will maintain the engine speed and adjust the gear ratio to provide the desired travel speed. Operating big balers, root crop harvesters and other PTO dependent machinery has never been easier as the TVT takes the hard work out of maximising productivity.
Auto CommandTM transmission also comes with safety built in. Active StopStart automatically holds the tractor stationary on gradients of up to 30 degrees - even with a 32-tonne load. An automatic parking lock and 4WD braking featuring wet multi disc brakes complete an outstanding safety and convenience package.
Maximum efficiency can only come from an alert and comfortable operator and the cab of TVT Series has been designed to minimise the effects of a long day at the wheel. The high comfort, deluxe cab is available with Comfort RideTM cab suspension as well as a fully adjustable air-suspension seat.
Tilt and telescoping steering is standard and helps ensure a comfortable driving position. Climate control is standard across the range, helping operators keep their cool in even the warmest summers, while interior noise levels have been minimised to 72dBA to promote a fatigue-free working day.
The instrument panel is clear and easy to read and features a performance monitor. A second monitor is built into the right hand A-pillar ensuring that the information you need is easily accessible whatever task the tractor is undertaking.
The five models of the TVT Series are powered by 6.6-litre, six-cylinder diesel engines. Turbo-charged, inter-cooled and featuring electronic fuel injection, these power units meet the latest Tier II emission standards and offer from 137hp to 192hp (ISO 14396) at their rated speed of 2,100rpm.
Designed to develop high torque levels, these advanced engines combine excellent fuel efficiency with longevity and low whole-life operating costs. As well as engine speed reduction for efficient headland turns and exhaust aspirated air filtration, which come as standard, the TVT can also be specified with a variable pitch cooling fan. This innovative technology matches the angle of the blades to the cooling effort required, ensuring that power – and fuel – is not wasted.
A closed centre hydraulic system including an advanced load-sensing pump with an output of 105 litres/minute is fitted on the TVT135, TVT145 and TVT155 as standard. A 130 litres/minute MegaFlowTM pump can be specified on those models and is fitted as standard on the TVT170 and TVT190. Up to five electronically controlled proportional remote valves are available, all of which can be programmed into Headland Turn Sequencing for automatic operation in conjunction with the tractor's hitch, differential locks, engine speed reduction and Auto PTO.
Maximum lift at the rear linkage is an impressive 9,900kg, while a front linkage with 4,000kg lift, PTO and dedicated hydraulic services is also available. This front linkage is closely integrated with the front axle and has a geometry that optimises traction at the front wheels.
The TVT is fitted with a four-speed independent rear PTO system as standard. With the ability to be engaged under full load, the PTO is able to transmit the engine's power highly efficiently. As well as the standard 540 and 1000 speeds, the system offers economical 540E and 1000E settings, which can give fuel savings of up to 15 per cent by providing the same PTO speeds but at just 65 per cent of full power.
An ISO-compatible CAN BUS acts as the tractor's nervous system, providing an electronic communications pathway for operator instructions. The IntelliViewTM ISO-BUS monitor is used to operate compatible equipment without the need for a separate control box.
An intelligent tractor with advanced features, the New Holland TVT is also intuitive and easy to operate.
