A new container cleaning nozzle that promises to deliver faster container cleaning with less water usage is being introduced at LAMMA by Hypro EU Ltd, the leading spray nozzle and pump manufacturer.
The new ProClean fluid-driven nozzle rotates slowly to ensure penetration of even thick chemical residues. In Hypro tests ProClean nozzles reduced the cleaning time for empty containers by up 50% compared to alternative nozzles.
ProClean is part of a new range of ’Pro’ sprayer components. The new introductions also include ProClean tank washing nozzles, ProFlo nozzle bodies with an optional ProStop air-activated nozzle on/off valve, and ProCap tank lids.
ProClean Container Cleaning nozzle
Hypro’s new ProClean container cleaning nozzle offers improved cleaning to reduce wash time and water usage. According to Product Manager Roger James:
"Good container cleaning is not an option any more as all containers must be recycled. We found that farmers using existing nozzles in their container rinsing systems were becoming frustrated because containers tended to fill up with water before they were completely clean. The ProClean nozzle overcomes this problem by rotating more slowly generating stronger cleaning jets to penetrate even thick chemical residues. It distributes the cleaning jet over all inner container surfaces so no ’blind spots’ escape. In our tests a 5L container was cleaned in just 7.5 seconds compared to 15 seconds for the comparison nozzles and using around half the quantity of water. 20 seconds and 6 litres of water was saved when cleaning A 20 litre container."
The time saving per container adds up for each spray load and ProClean will also reduce the clean water requirement on a sprayer and promises to reduce the frustration experienced in this area.
Also available is an optional ProClean constant pressure push valve for easily operating the cleaning jet and a tank wash version of ProClean designed with 360o jets that target the top and sides of a tank for comprehensive cleaning.
