New Zealand-Grass fed beef for Japan.

NEW ZEALAND

LAUNCH INTO JAPAN.

Meat and Wool New Zealand, have announced a major sales launch into Japan for grass fed beef that will begin now running into the new year.

Japan traditionally is a buyer of grain fed cattle, because of climate on domestic cattle, that have to be housed in winter, coupled with the tradition of US grain fed beef that has been developed for the days of US occupation in 1945.

John Hundleby the marketing manager in Japan, for New Zealand Meat and Wool, said

" This months campaign and grass fed promotion is the largest undertaken in a localized area of Japan in recent years".

The promotion was launched at a reception, attended by the New Zealand Ambassador to Japan Ian Kennedy, along with 150 local meat trade representatives. NZ enjoys an excellent name for quality and traceability in beef and lamb in Japan, who are very health orientated
