New Zealand-Meat worker takes a bad cut.

NEW ZEALAND-A King Country meat worker has been flown to Waikato Hospital after his hand was partially amputated in a work accident.

The 26-year-old man’s hand was cut while he was using a band saw at a meat processing and packing plant in Benneydale, southeast of Te Kuiti.

Waikato Hospital spokeswoman Mary Anne Gill says the man is currently in theatre and surgeons are doing all they can to save his left hand.
