Record year for fifth annual Energy Now Expo in Telford

Total visitor numbers were up by 20 percent to over 3,000 year-on-year, as the Energy Now Expo closed its annual two day event in Telford today, showcasing renewable energy options to farmers and landowners.

David Jacobmeyer, Energy Now Expo organiser said: "We're delighted to have recorded our biggest and best event ever this year, as we returned to Telford to host over 3,000 members of the industry to discuss the future of renewable energy in the agriculture and farming.

As those in the agricultural sector continue to yield strong returns from investing in renewable energy solutions, we're delighted to serve the industry with a relevant and informative event. The renewables advice clinic is just one example of how we're helping to highlight the options open to those considering renewables as an alternative energy, and revenue stream.

We look forward to welcoming exhibitors, speakers and attendees old and new to next year's event which will take place on 11-12th February."

Ian Burrow, Head of Agriculture & Renewables, NatWest and RBS, said: “We are proud to be supporting Energy Now as lead sponsor for the third year running, and are already committed to supporting the Expo again in 2015. Without a doubt this is the leading event in the country for renewable energy - bringing together key leaders from across the industry.

"It has been great to speak with delegates face-to-face, reinforcing our commitment to the sector. Our dedicated energy team have also been on hand to develop greater understanding of the industry and the challenges and opportunities facing our customers.

"We are committed to supporting the industry and are moving further into the energy efficiency agenda with our energy audit assessment programme - run with business consultants Mentor.

And that's where I see renewables going in the future. Our mantra is “buy better, use better, generate yourself” and we see energy efficiency as a growing trend - looking at overall bigger picture and impacts for businesses."
