Reduce Dependancy On Cereals
Today, the Denis Brinicombe Group, announce the launch of a new service to all stock farmers aimed at reducing their dependency on high priced cereals for this and forthcoming seasons.
Simply called "DB Rationing" the programme is aimed at all classes of stock farmer who aim to rear quality stock as quickly as possible on home grown forage and limited outside inputs.
"The Group is using the expertise of in house professionals backed up by specialist rationing programmes to determine the most competitively priced rations for users of the service," said James Brinicombe, Company Director.
"Unless rations are correctly formulated, making maximum use to on farm forage, together with bought in proteins and any appropriate liquid feed, many farmers are wasting money and failing to get cattle off the farm in peak condition to make top price as stores or finished animals," he added.
"Forage analysis will be free to all farmers joining the programme as it is the basis on which any ration is built. Once we have this, together with the details of any other on farm proteins, we will be able to formulate a farm and stock type specific diet.
"We believe we can formulate the ideal ration for any given situation or system, with the quality raw materials we use, ensuring stock rearers will see animals that finish quicker and more efficiently than before.
"It all starts with the young stock building the frame while still young and growing quickly. Once that is achieved we look to developing the animal on to one that finishes as quickly as the breed will allow, killing out as near to the ideal as possible," concluded James.
