Scholarship to help young farmer study
James Austin is one of eight outstanding young rural achievers with diverse goals for the future to win a NSW Farmers' Association Tertiary Scholarship Award.
Mr Austin, who is currently in his final year studying agricultural science at the University of Sydney majoring in soil science and agronomy, won an EL O'Brien Scholarship.
Mr Austin grew up on his family's mixed farming property between Warren and Trangie and is involved in depression awareness in rural communities, an issue extremely close to his heart.
