AHDB are anticipating another busy stand and a great Potato Europe experience again this year

‘Brexit’ or not this summer, GB’s seed potato and science community and AHDB Potatoes will be returning to Europe’s key international potato trade and technical event, Potato Europe, 14-15 September 2016, in Villers St Christophe, Aisne, France.

Seed potatoes from Britain have earned a good reputation around the world for high health and high quality and AHDB Potatoes is inviting GB’s seed and crop science community to ‘fly the flag’ at Potato Europe to promote varieties, crop science and expertise from Britain.

AHDB’s British pavilion at Potato Europe provides a high-profile marketing platform for GB seed potato exporters and related science and crop organisations. AHDB Potatoes head of seed and export.

Robert Burns says: “We are sure to be busy with many meetings and high levels of international trade and networking throughout the event. In fact, with the event’s mid-September timing, it’s a ‘must-attend’ fixture for everyone in the potato business whether to talk trade or see the latest technologies available”.

Supporting the GB seed and science group, AHDB Potatoes will also be talking to Potato Europe visitors about the work it does to help sustain the GB potato industry. Up to 12,000 international visitors are expected at this event, with the GB trade pavilion positioned in an excellent spot to welcome many new contacts and old friends alike.

This September’s event is hosted by Arvalis in Villers St Christophe (Aisne), a key potato-growing region in France and where potato growers and trade will meet to discuss varieties, exports and imports, growing, harvesting, machinery, processing and much more besides.
