Sheep EID discussions at Pembrokeshire NFU meeting

Local farmers are invited to the next Pembrokeshire NFU Cymru county meeting, on Thursday, 1 May 2014, at the Agriculture House, Haverfordwest.

Starting at 8.00pm, the meeting will be an opportunity to gather views from local members on Welsh Government’s consultation on Sheep EID including proposals for the EID Cymru database and the future of the slaughter tag derogation in Wales. Those present will also receive updates from the meeting of NFU HQ Council held on 28 -29 April and recent NFU Cymru commodity board meetings.

Mike Plumb, Pembrokeshire NFU Cymru county Chairman said, “EID Cymru will affect every sheep farmer in Wales and this meeting is an opportunity to discuss your concerns and get some clarity on the decisions that will be made by Welsh Government. This meeting is open to all NFU Cymru members and I do hope we will get a good turnout. Please also encourage your friends and neighbours to come along, it will be especially nice to see some of the younger generation present at this meeting.”
