Shropshire farm dispersal auction features excellent range of machinery

An excellent range of farm machinery and equipment with wide appeal will be going under the hammer at a Shropshire dispersal auction next month.

The 400 lot auction at Rookery Farm, Hatton, near Shifnal on Friday, February 26, which is being conducted by Shrewsbury-based auctioneers Halls, follows the decision by H. Shepherd and Son Ltd to give up their tenancy.

“The business has assembled an excellent range of regularly serviced and maintained machinery and equipment suitable for farms growing combinable and cash crops,” said Halls’ chairman Peter Willcock, who is conducting the auction.

Irrigation, cultivation, potato, beet and general farm equipment will be going under the hammer alongside a 2014 Manitou MLT 627 Turbo Classic, a 2010 John Deere 6330 Premium, 2009 6530 Premium tractors, a 1979 New Holland Clayson 1530 Combine and a selection of 13 trailers.

Equipment includes a Standen front mounted potato topper MK2, a Pearson Mega Star Actiflow destoner, a Grimme Combistar CS1500 destoner, two Pearson Enterprise Starflow potato harvesters, an Armer Salmon cleaner loader and an Armer Salmon Beaver beet harvester.

The vintage section features a 1948 Fordson E27N tractor with a Perkins P6 engine, a 1973 David Brown 995 tractor with cab and a Ransomes two furrow TS59 match plough.
