Tractor Show returns in the spring

In March 2015, the Three Counties Showground at Malvern will once again be home to hundreds of tractors, displays and trade stands, as the renowned Tractor World Show returns to the Showground for the first major event of the year.

One of the biggest show’s of its kind, this spectacular 2 day indoor event will take place on the weekend of 14th and 15th March showcasing an incredible range of displays. There’ll be over 450 new, classic, vintage and veteran tractors and machinery, horticultural and farm model displays, stationary engines and classic Land Rovers, as well as spares, parts, toys, clothes, books and models.

Throughout the weekend, students from Lackham College will delight visitors with their “Build a Fergie” competition. Come along and cheer them on whilst they race against each other to see who can put a grey Ferguson tractor back together in the quickest time!

Not just for farming and tractor enthusiasts, but for family visitors too, last years’ show saw a record breaking number of visitors through the door, and this year looks set to be even bigger and better.

Organised by Mark Woodward and sponsored by Tractor & Machinery Magazine (Kelsey Media), this year’s event celebrates tractors in all their splendid glory. Over the weekend, visitors are treated to restoration and practical demos, Turner tractors and machinery displays, hedgerow themed displays from regional clubs, as well as displays from the big name tractor manufacturers.

Fans of spares should head over to the show on Saturday when H.J Pugh and Co will be hosting their famous Vintage auction (where over 2,000 lots are expected) and on Sunday there’s the annual vintage “sort out and spares day” plus the charity tractor road run into the Malvern Hills.

New for the 2015 show, is a special “Spring Steam” themed weekend, where both full-sized and miniature steam engines, including a Showman’s engine will be in steam and throughout it all the “Tractor Championship and Awards” take place.

Organiser, Mark Woodward said: “Last year we erected a massive marquee which meant we had lots more space and most of the show was undercover. Visitors enjoyed browsing the trade and club stands in comfort, so this year with visitor numbers set to be even higher, the marquee will be used again. I’m really looking forward to seeing the spring steam spectacular as we’ve lined up several remarkable steam engines that will all be “in steam” throughout the weekend”.
