WNSC Prepares for Major Rebrand and Rename

From Monday 13th April 2015, Walford and North Shropshire College (WNSC) will be changing its name to North Shropshire College (NSC). The new name, logo and branding was developed after extensive consultation and input from staff and students.

The College’s aim is to create and implement a current forward-looking brand, uniting the campuses, staff and students whilst connecting with business and community groups. The new logo is innovative vibrant, bright, bold and fun – exactly what our students asked for.

Each campus under the NSC umbrella will have its own identity, the College campuses; Oswestry; Walford; Aspire; Shipley and Wem will retain their separate identities whilst still being part of the unified College brand. It is extremely important that the heritage of our land-based campus at Walford is preserved. The applications for Agriculture are up around 40%, with the recent major investment in the farm.

Principal of WNSC, Jackie Doodson, commented on the new branding, saying ‘The current branding has been in place since 2001 and feedback from our stakeholders told us it was time for a change, we are delighted to be working with blahdblah to develop our new brand and logo which will better identify us with our local community.’

A new website is set to launch very soon at www.nsc.ac.uk.

More information and branding guidelines are available from WNSC Marketing Manager, Lucy Evans, who can be contacted via phone on 01691 688039 or email at l.a.evans@wnsc.ac.uk.
