Wales-Farmers concerns over Bovine TB.

WALES.

TB ERADICATION.

Farmers across Wales are waiting for the promised announcements, from the Welsh Assembly in relation to the next phase of the proposed TB eradication scheme.

The slaughter last week of a pedigree herd of 330 cows and 235 calves, has brought the TB problems in Wales back on the agenda and from page of newspapers.

There seems to have been little progress in the recent eradication programs, unlike those of the fifties and sixties, when the problem was controlled with the TT testing scheme.

There is no doubt of the link with TB in cattle and humans, probably spread more with milk than meat.
