Wales' Young Farmers' Club funding cuts 'will have big impact on rural Wales'

The Chairman of the Wales' Young Farmers' Clubs (YFC) has said he was 'extremely disappointed' after receiving major cuts to its grants, unions have said it will have a big impact on the future of rural communities in Wales.

YFC lost £360,000 grant from the Welsh government for its educational endeavours for young people.

It also lost a £20,000 grant from Natural Resources Wales.

YFC Chairman Iwan Meirion said the funding schemes were "essential for us to maintain our educational programme for thousands of young people living in rural Wales".
