Yorkshire food producers give Tesco Northallerton shoppers taste of local produce‏

Four small food producers who supply Tesco and are based in Yorkshire will be giving out free samples and tasters of their products at Tesco's Northallerton Store on Friday 4th September.

Shoppers can expect to see colleagues from the businesses on-hand to talk about their locally-produced beer, Pork Pies, Sausage Rolls, bread and soup. The companies employ just over 100 employees combined and some have been supplying Tesco since 1998, with their produce in stores across Yorkshire.

Leeds Brewery, Stobart's, Jackson Bakery, and Yorkshire Provender will be at Tesco's Northallerton store from 10:30 to 15:00 on Friday 4th September and will be giving customers free samples to try in a bid to introduce even more people to local produce made on their doorstep.

Sharon Taylor from the Locally Sourced Food Company said, "We're all really looking forward to saying hello to customers at Tesco's Northallerton store and tempting them to try local products from so many local suppliers. We're proud that together we're putting products made locally in Yorkshire on the map and it's great to have the support of a retailer like Tesco along the way. If any readers fancy trying some amazing local food and drink for free, come along on 4th September to meet us!"

Tesco Northallerton store Manager Faye Stevenson said, "We know that supporting local suppliers is important to our customers and we're absolutely delighted to be working with so many producers in Yorkshire. These local suppliers make amazing products that we're proud to stock and I'd welcome our customers to come along and sample their wares!"
