Things to see and do in Wrexham
Acton Park
was originally the landscaped grounds of Acton Hall. It was originally laid out in 1785 by James Wyatt on the instructions of the owner Sir Foster Cunliffe. Over the years the Estate passed through several owners. In 1947 Wrexham Council was given the Hall and Park by the then owner Alderman William Aston. A section of Acton Park was sold for Housing development in the 1970s. The surviving area now covers approximately 55 acres.

Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse      View website
Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse is a left-handed jumps racecourse set in glorious countryside and overlooked by the Welsh hills. Easily accessible via the motorway and trunk road network, the racecourse is situated just 5 minutes from the A483, 10 minutes from Wrexham and 25 minutes south of Chester.

Erddig
Erddig Hall is a National Trust property on the outskirts of Wrexham, Wales. It was built in 1684–1687 for Joshua Edisbury, the high sheriff of Denbighshire and was designed by Thomas Webb.

Pontcysyllte Aqueduct
The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is a navigable aqueduct that carries the Llangollen Canal over the valley of the River Dee, between the villages of Trevor and Froncysyllte, in Wrexham in north east Wales. Completed in 1805, it is the longest and highest aqueduct in Britain, a Grade I Listed Building and a World Heritage Site.
