This is a charming Grade ll Listed thatched cottage, set in the picturesque Exe Valley, about a 1½ miles to the south of Bickleigh and approx 9 miles to the north of Exeter.
The property has been tastefully modernised and extended, so as to provide spacious family accommodation. There is a large bedroom on the ground floor, which could easily be used as another reception room, then providing three bedrooms on the first floor.
The cottage is set just off the A396 Tiverton to Exeter road, and whilst there can be some traffic noise, during commute times, this is not a hugely busy road and the situation more than makes up for it, with the beautiful outlook across the meadows of the Exe Valley to the hills beyond.
Bickleigh, with its pretty thatched cottages, lovely old Church and very good Primary School, lies about a mile to the north, whilst the thriving village of Silverton is about 2½ miles to the south, where can be found local shops, a Doctors Practice and three very good pubs!
At Bickleigh Bridge can be found the Fisherman's Cot Hotel and also The Trout Inn, and at Tiverton about 7 miles to the north is Petroc College and Blundell's Independent School.
The cathedral city of Exeter lies about 9 miles to the south.
The cottage is situated in a large mature garden, of approx half an acre fronting onto fields. There is a large parking and hard standing area.
