Algeria donates pesticides to Niger to battle locusts
Algeria has contributed 50,000 litres of pesticides to Niger in its fight against locusts, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said.
The donation was made as part of the Sept-Nov 2012 regional plan of action for the fight against locusts drawn up during a meeting of experts from West Africa in collaboration with the World Bank held from Sept 3 to 5 in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
