Belarus ready to double food export to Moscow
Belarus is ready to double the export of food products to Moscow markets. The statement was made by Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Mr Vasily Kazakevich at the plenary session of the Belarus-Moscow Business Cooperation Forum on 21 November, BelTA has learned.
According to Vasily Kazakevich, the Russian capital city accounts for 20% of Belarus’ food export to Russia while Moscow and the oblast account for over 50%. In January-September Belarus exported about $600 million worth of food there. The export of dairy products went down a bit in comparison with the same period of last year while the export of vegetables, poultry meat, and eggs increased a bit.
