Cattle killed in truck accident
A tractor-trailer hauling cattle overturned while southbound on Highway 13 south of Lexington last Thursday evening, killing 13 animals as a result.
A total of 48 head of cattle were inside the truck, which was on its way to a slaughterhouse at the time of the accident. The driver of the truck, Clifford Weaver, 47, of Grove Spring, was not injured.
