Dairy farmers face €450 electricity hike
Dairy farmers will have to fork out almost €450 extra on average on their electricity bills this year as price hikes take their toll.
Electricity prices have jumped by almost 18pc between October 2011 and February 2013, resulting in the electricity bill for a typical 100-cow dairy farm increasing by €448 per year.
