Demands of drought continue as farmers begin harvest

Indiana farmers are making good progress in harvesting corn and soybeans this month, keeping an optimistic eye on the rows of grain ahead despite the demands of the drought.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture predicts corn farmers will see an average of 122.8 bushels per acre, according to its Sept. 12 report.
