Dry weather hits Russia's winter grain
Dry weather is causing concern for the state of winter grain crops in some parts of Russia's south, the country's main exporting region, but rains may improve the situation next week, the state crop weather forecaster said on Wednesday.
"There is a problem with a low level or a lack of moisture, but it is not ubiquitous," Anna Strashnaya, the head of the agricultural forecasting department at Russia's Federal Hydrometeorology and Environment Monitoring Service (Rosgidromet), told Reuters.
