Farmers poised for shake-up in CAP payments of €1.2bn

Proposed changes to how Ireland distributes its €1.2bn CAP allocation could result in sizeable reductions in the amounts paid to the country's biggest farmers.

But smaller farmers are poised for a windfall in their single farm payments (SFP) that take into account labour intensity on smaller farms.
