Milk prices expected to rise as drought hits farmers hard
Drought conditions across the North Island are threatening to hit consumers in the pocket.
Northland was declared a drought-zone on February 27 and yesterday the Government extended the cover to South Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Hawke's Bay. Manawatu and Rangitikei have also asked for an official drought declaration.
