More rain still needed in much of NSW

The rain over the last week as been very welcome and very timely for some.

But it was by no means drought breaking.

Many dams are still empty and the cropping regions are still short of sub soil moisture.

General manager of northern tablelands Local Land services Paul Hatchings says Glen Innes is a good example.
