Nigeria may miss food production target, says official

As the nation counts its losses following to the recent flooding, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Development and Special Duties, Mrs. Sarah Pane has expressed concern that the nation may not meet its food sufficiency target in rice production.

She however, explained that the Federal Government has concluded plans to address the situation, which in terms of yearly food production, would ensure adequate food supply next year.
