Qld farmers being priced out of business

Will Queenslanders finish up paying more for the food they eat or will we just see production from sugar to fruit and vegetables wither, owing to a lack of water?

The dilemma facing farmers in Queensland is dire.

It is even worse for sugar cane farmers who irrigate, as they are price takers on a world export market, as we export 80 per cent of the sugar we produce, a $2 billion export business for Queensland.
